How You Can Support PSW

We welcome your interest and support to move this initiative from dream to reality.

  • Join the Exploratory Committee. This group meets roughly on a monthly schedule. To join the group, please send your contact information to info@tjpdc.org and ask to be added to the e-mail distribution list for meetings.
  • Provide Information and Technical Assistance: PSW welcomes information and ideas on sources of lumber, possible sites for the operation, equipment, product lines, and marketing.
  • Contribute funds to move this initiative forward. PSW has entered into a Joint Plan of Work with the Virginia Organizing Project (VOP), enabling PSW to accept tax-deductible contributions and private grant funds. The Virginia Organizing Project (VOP) is a statewide grassroots organization dedicated to challenging injustice by empowering people in local communities to address issues that affect the quality of their lives. To contribute to PSW, you can send a check to the Virginia Organizing Project at 703 Concord Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22902-5208. Be sure to clearly indicate that your contribution is for Piedmont Sustainable Woods.

NOTE: VOP is officially registered with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, P. O. Box 1163, Richmond, VA 23209. You can write to this Department for all relevant financial statements and procedures regarding the solicitation of contributions. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

  • Schedule a presentation on PSW to your group. Appalachian Sustainable Development has generously provided grant-supported funding to build awareness of and involvement in PSW through outreach and educational activities, including presentations and community and civic organizations, meetings with local leaders and key stakeholders, and increased visibility in the media. To schedule a presentation, contact Eric Gilchrist of Green Resources of Virginia at ericg@ntelos.net or (434) 293-8039.
  • Join our e-mail list for periodic (roughly quarterly) updates on our progress. Send your request to info@tjpdc.org
